2026年ミラノ・コルティナ五輪は、イタリアにとっては単なるスポーツ大会ではありません。
2024年パリ五輪が、LVMHグループ（ルイーヴィトン・モエ・ヘネシー）による豪華絢爛なショーだったとすれば、ミラノ五輪は国全体が仕掛ける「美の戦争」といえます。
その象徴が、亡きマエストロが最後に残した、イタリア代表の純白のユニフォームでした。
イタリアが「アズーロ」（青）を捨てた日
イタリア代表といえば、サッカーに代表される「アズーロ」（空の青）が伝統です。
しかし、2月6日（現地時間）、開会式の最後に入場したイタリア選手団が身にまとっていたのは、違う色でした。大会前のプレスリリースでメインビジュアルとして公開されていたミルキーホワイトのウェアでもありませんでした。
照明によってはダークブラウンや黒にも見える、深く沈んだ色彩。
それは、華美な装飾を削ぎ落とし、アルプスの岩肌や樹木と一体化するかのような、究極のシックでした。
マエストロの遺言
公式ユニフォームを手掛けたのは、イタリアファッション界の帝王、ジョルジョ・アルマーニ。
2025年9月にこの世を去ったジョルジョが、病床で最後まで監修を続けたのが、この「最後のコレクション」でした。
メインビジュアルのミルキーホワイトは、雪山との調和を意図したものでした。しかし、実際の開会式の夜に選ばれたのは、黒（Nero） を基調としたフォーマルスタイル。
そして足元には、雪山の実用性とファッション性を兼ね備えたブラウンのスエード製アルペンブーツ。
スタジアムの暖かい照明を浴び、全身がアースカラーのように映る姿は、開催国の余裕と、亡きマエストロの美学である「引き算の美」（Less is More）を体現しています。
ジャケットの裏地、心臓の鼓動が聞こえる左胸の位置には、イタリア国歌（マメーリの賛歌）の第一節が金色の文字でプリントされています。
Fratelli d’Italia（イタリアの兄弟たちよ）
一見すると地味にも見えるこの茶色がかった黒は、スタジアムの喧騒の中で、強烈な静寂と威厳を放ち、修道服のようにさえ見えました。
ミラノ vs パリ：二つの「ファッション五輪」
ミラノ・コルティナ大会組織委員会が立てた「ファッション戦略」。それは2024年のパリ五輪の対極にあります。
ストリート文化を体現したパリ五輪
パリ五輪のフランス代表のユニフォームを手掛けたのは、ステファン・アシュプール。 当時42歳のアシュプールは、2008年にストリートブランドピガール（Pigalle）を立ち上げたばかりの、「ストリートの申し子」でした。
アシュプールは、パーカーやスニーカーといった若者文化でパリ大会を彩りました。
ミラノ五輪はアルマーニで「伝統回帰」
これに対して、ミラノ五輪では、1934年生まれの91歳、ジョルジオ・アルマーニが「顔」になりました。
彼が提示したのは、流行のストリートスタイルへの決別でした。構築的なショルダーライン、無駄のないシルエットで、大人の正装に回帰したのでした。
アルマーニが「公式」を担当する一方、「非公式・カルチャー」はイタリアが誇る他のメガブランドが担当します。ここに、イタリアのファッション界の真の強さが表れています。
機能美の極致モンクレール
雪山特化ライン「グルノーブル」が、コルティナの風景を一変させました。
観客席を埋め尽くすのは、ブランドの代名詞である「光沢のあるラッカーナイロン」のダウンジャケット。極寒のアルプスでも耐えうるスペックを持ちながら、身体のラインを美しく見せるそのボリューム感は、まさに「雪上のクチュール」です。
また、モンクレールは、ミラノ五輪ブラジル代表のユニフォームも手掛けました。
富裕層のユニフォーム担当のプラダ
VIPたちが集うラウンジや、競技後のパーティー（アフタースキー）で目立つのは、プラダのスポーツライン「リネア・ロッサ」です。
彼らが身につけているのは、汗を吸うジャージではなく、ゴアテックスなどの高機能素材を極限まで薄く、スタイリッシュに仕立てたセットアップ。そして足元には、氷の上でも滑らないが、そのまま高級レストランにも入れるムートンブーツ。
まさに、「余裕のある大人」のためのスタイルです。

ボランティアもランウェイの主役
イタリアの美学は、1万8千人のボランティアスタッフにも徹底されています。
ボランティアのユニフォームは、マウンテンスポーツの世界的ブランドであり、大会プレミアムパートナーのサロモンが手掛けました。
これは単なる制服ではなく、天候やシーンに合わせて組み合わせ可能な「モジュール式ワードローブ」です。 50人以上のデザイナーが18ヶ月をかけて開発したこのユニフォームは、過酷な雪山の作業に耐えうる機能性を持ちながら、そのままミラノの街中を歩いても違和感のないほどスタイリッシュです。
現地では、ボランティアたちがジャケットの襟を立てたり、レイヤリングを楽しんだりと、まるで熟練のファッショニスタのように着こなしています。
イタリアには「スプレッツァトゥーラ」（計算された無造作）という言葉があります。
年齢・性別を問わず、ボランティアにも美を徹底する姿勢こそが、大会の景観を世界で最も洗練されたものにしたのです。

表彰台も、デザインの実験場です。
2018年の暴風雨がもたらしたドロミテの倒木を再利用した表彰台は、単なるリサイクルではありません。イタリアの建築家によって計算し尽くされたその造形は、自然災害の傷跡さえもアートに変える「再生の物語」です。
